We went to this restaurant on our last night in Paris as we really wanted to try Raclette. The inside is has lovely quirky decor and it felt very cozy. The servers were friendly and happy to explain how the raclette menu worked. We went with the smoked cheese option and 2 plates of meat (charcuterie and beef). It was so delicious and a fun experience. It left us thinking about visiting the Alps! It was a great end to our trip. I wish we could have eaten the entire cheese provided but we were just too full!

Everything was perfect—service was great and the waiters were attentive. The fondue was fantastic. You need to order for at least two people, but they let us choose two different ones for the two of us so we could try both. The wine was great, and the waiters helped us choose one that suited our taste. The atmosphere is relaxing. I would recommend it to everyone. One small thing: although the wine was nicely chilled when served, it wasn’t placed in an ice bucket to keep it cool during the meal, which I expected for white wine.

Nestled in the heart of Paris’s vibrant 5th arrondissement, Saveurs de Savoie offers an authentic taste of the French Alps, inviting diners to savor rich, comforting flavors steeped in tradition. This cozy bistrot on Rue Mouffetard is a haven for lovers of cheese-centric dishes like raclette and fondue—two alpine classics that captivate with their creamy, molten textures and smoky depth.

Stepping inside, you’re embraced by an inviting, quirky decor that mirrors the warmth and rustic charm of Savoyard mountain life. The attentive, knowledgeable staff enhance the experience by guiding guests through the menu’s specialties, whether it’s explaining the nuances of raclette cheese or helping select the perfect wine to pair with a hearty meal.

The smoked raclette paired with charcuterie and tender beef is a standout, delivering a delightful balance of intense, smoky cheese and rich, savory meats. It’s a dish that lingers in memory long after the last bite, evoking dreams of alpine peaks and wintery retreats. Equally memorable is the 3-cheese fondue—a harmonious blend of creamy, melted cheeses served with perfect dippables—that captures the essence of convivial dining.

Beyond the cheese specialties, Saveurs de Savoie impresses with well-cooked steak, escargots that burst with flavor, and palate-pleasing desserts like crème brûlée and smooth ice cream. The friendly ambiance, complemented by tasteful background music, creates a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding with loved ones or enjoying a romantic evening.

Pairing French house wines chosen with care by the staff elevates the meal further, though a small note on service style is the absence of ice buckets for white wine—yet the glasses arrive nicely chilled. This minor detail does not diminish the overall excellence and warmth that define this hidden gem.

In sum, Saveurs de Savoie combines genuine Alpine gastronomy with Parisian charm, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a heartfelt, flavorful journey through Savoy’s culinary heritage. It’s an experience that feels personal, memorable, and utterly satisfying—one that leaves you both comforted and inspired to explore more of France’s rich regional fare.
